  • About a dozen Bostwick Blueberry Festival volunteers clean and pick through the blueberries on Monday afternoon to remove any stems, leaves, and imperfect berries which do not go into the world-renowned pies. For more than ten years, Miller Blueberry Farms has donated the 500-600 lbs. of blueberries to the festival. The empty pie boxes stand waiting in the corner for the pies to be baked on Wednesday. • Dana Waller is in charge of baking the pies for the Bostwick Blueberry Festival. Here she puts the finishing touches on pies to be baked. With the 650 pounds of blueberries they got, they'll be making 278 pies (50 more than last year), 360 muffins, blueberry crumb cake and blueberry crunch cake, in addition to all the pancakes served at the breakfast.
